Keeping this above thought in mind Zee Telugu brings laughter into the viewer’s lives with an out and out comedy show “Comedy Club”, your weekly dose of hilarious comedy. For the first time on Telugu Television a multi talented comedy show is being introduced with standup comedy, skits, comedy acts & much more.

This show promises to be a laugh riot and hopes to be one of its kinds on Telugu TV. Comedy Club will have 6-8 participants selected from across AP, coming on to the stage to perform in front of studio audience.  The acts will be in the form of skits, solo acts, mimicry and special comic acts.

Right from our childhood, we have been told about Yama Loka, where the God of Death, Yam Raj with the help of Chitra Gupta decides where the soul needs to go after death, Naraka (hell) or Swarga (heaven). Here bad souls get the most dangerous punishment and before the punishment, everyone gets to hear what sins they have committed on this Bhoomi (Earth).

What if we don’t have to wait to go to Yama Loka to pay for our sins? What if we can do Prayaschittam for our sins here on this Earth itself? Now you can see this happening for Celebrities of Telugu Television.

Zee Telugu launches first of its kind new game show - Chittam Chittam Prayaschittam. An interesting show based on the concept of Yama Loka, where participants would come and get redemption for their sins by doing Prayaschittam.

The show will provide redemption to television serial characters; these characters have done so much wrong in their shows and they need to be punished, Eg. – like in Chinna Kodalu, where Bamma always tortures and harasses Radhika. These sorts of television characters would come to Yama Loka to redeem their sins. In Zee Telugu’s Cittam Chittam Prayaschittam, Chitragupta will read out sins of television celebrities and the celebrities need to get redemption by participating in various funny and interesting games. The celebrities would have common thread like lady villains, bamma’s, kodalus, attas’ etc.

Shiva Reddy who would be portraying Yama Dharama Raja said, “I have always wanted to get into the shoes of Yama Dharama Raja, as big stars like Kaikala Satyanarayana and Mohan Babu have played the role in films.” As Chitra Gupta, Veteran actor Sudharshan would be helping Shiva Reddy to give punishment to participants.

Zee Telugu Business Head Anuradha Gudur said, “Zee Telugu likes to experiment with different and innovative content, so as to give viewers the best entertainment possible. We at Zee are sure that this show will be different from the present game shows on Telugu Television”

In our day to day TV serials we see various characters doing so much sin and bad karma, but they are let go, and there is nothing we can do! Well, that’s a thought of the past. With the launch of Zee Telugu’s new game show no villain will be left untouched!

Maa Varu is an epic tale of three sisters, completely different in their outlook towards life but tied together by a bond of trust and sisterhood. The story deals with the trials and tribulations of three sisters, Vani, Priya and Rani. Vani is the eldest, mature and responsible. Priya is the middle child, modern and glamorous. Rani is the youngest, smart and intelligent. The main character is Vani. After their father's death, the three sisters shift to Mumbai to lead a rich and successful life. How they cope with real life situations is the story.

This is the dubbed version of ‘Kasamh Se’ a hugely popular soap on Zee TV.  The serial was produced by Ekta Kapoor, Balaji Tele Films.

Zee Telugu Wins 3 Andhra Pradesh State Nandi T.V. Film Awards for the Year 2010

Hyderabad, Sep 14, 2011: The Nandi awards are one of the most prominent award ceremonies for Telugu Films, Theater & Television. These awards were declared at a function on Sep 13, Tuesday, and it brought some good news to Zee Telugu. This year Zee Telugu has won 3 prestigious Nandi awards.

Bathuku Jatka Bandi won the award for the Best TV Feature. The great news is that Zee Telugu bagged both the Best Male and the Best Female Anchor awards this year, Mr. Pradeep from Gadasari Atta Sogasari Kodalu won the award for the Best Male Anchor and Mrs. Sumalatha won the award for the Best Female Anchor for Bathuku Jatka Bandi.

Pleased at the results, Anuradha, Business Head, Zee Telugu said “It’s always nice when a show gets appreciated, but post winning prestigious Nandi awards, the entire team here is filled with joy and is exited to get a few more back home next year”

Zee Telugu Launches 3 new shows

Hyderabad, May 9th 2011: Get geared to be entertained as Zee guarantees some brilliant programs in the coming days. Zee launches it power packed package of not one but three news shows all launching on May 9^th 2011.

Zee Telugu’s package has something for everybody. All three shows deal with different aspects of life, while one would talk about a mother-in-law & daughter-in-law relationship, the other shows the struggles of a young girl who faces a lot of problems because of her dark complexion. Apart from these two shows there is a new reality show called Adbhutam, which would entertain the audience with unusual talents.          

A brief description of what’s to come:

Kalavari Kodallu: The story is about two daughter-in-laws who are sisters in life. Both of them get married in the same house and now face the test by living under the roof with their demanding mother- in-law. Though they are sisters they are like two sides of a coin, one totally abides to what the mother-in-law says and the other is a rebel.  Will the mother- in-law dance to the tunes of her daughter-in-laws or will it be vice versa?  Timings: 6:30 pm – Monday to Friday (From May 9^th 2011)

Kanyadanam: Set in Coastal backdrop with rich & upper middle class culture. Kanyadanam is a story of a girl who due to her dark complexion struggles a lot. Her troubles don’t end and her complexion affects the most important part of her life – “Her Marriage” Timings: 9 pm – Monday to Friday (From May 9^th 2011)

Adbhutam: A completely new kind of reality show from Zee Telugu. This talent show brings together performances from various groups who have different kinds of unusual talents. These talents are very different from the regular programming that one sees on TV. Timings: 9:30 pm – Monday & Tuesday (From May 9^th 2011)

Caressing the earth with every step he takes this King Of The Jungle can effortlessly subdue the mighty of the beasts and can breeze thru the thickest of forests and jump over the mountains’ in a stride.  Now, his journey to conquer over the city begins…

She is the beauty who sets the city on fire. If it is for someone of sharp sense of humor, vibrant, naturally outgoing, look no further, here she comes…An absolute blend of finesse coupled with energy of cool evening breeze this lady has the confidence to cast a spell on any man in this world. Will she be successful in transforming the King of the Jungle to a sophisticated Gentleman?

The concept focuses on bringing two different lifestyles on to one platform. The show will be showcasing 10 Jungle Kings & 10 City Girls, where in they will be performing the given tasks and the result would be on the basis of survival of the fittest or rather, adaptability.

Skill, strength, beauty, and cross cultures togetherness will make this show stand apart. Famous film heroine Sada would be playing the role of celebrity judge and involves in the elimination in every 6^th episode.

The King Of Jungle tries to embrace the modernity through tasks like …… learning how to drive, etiquettes of a Five star lifestyle, grooming techniques in a Spa or surviving a day job are a few to name.

Participants are from remote zones of Visakhapatnam (Paderu, Seleru & Chintapalli) Adilabad (Asifabad & Indravelli), Khammam (Chintur & Koonavaram) and Srisailam Forests. The selected young and macho boys would be paired with City Girls.

Zee Telugu Business Head G.
